Extremely Responsive Pads

The SPD-SX PRO features nine sturdy pads. The three shoulder pads in the top row have redesigned sensors for increased strike sensitivity and consistent hits—regardless of the SPD-SX PRO’s placement or orientation. Additionally, crosstalk protection has been optimized to prevent accidental triggering of neighboring pads.

Owners of the SPD-SX will notice that the SPD-SX PRO’s dimensions are nearly identical. This allows you to continue using old bags, cases, and other accessories without having to buy new equipment.

When the lights go down, the PRO shines even brighter. With individually customizable LED and trigger lighting, you can see all nine pads even on dark stages—goodbye gaffer! Assign each vertical or horizontal LED light one of ten preset colors.

Of course, you can also set and name colors yourself. Group kick, snares, backing tracks, and clicks with their own colors. Additionally, you can set the horizontal pad lights to stay on constantly, light only on pad hits, or dynamically according to the assigned WAV file.

Internal Samples and Sounds

The SPD-SX PRO offers 1,550 high-quality sounds and 200 kits (43 deletable preset kits and 157 user kits) right out of the box. The SPD-SX PRO’s processor power ensures you can switch kits even in the heat of a live show without cutting off the sound. This way, the kit for the next track is already loaded while the sound of the old kit is still fading out.

Storage & Sounds

Not enough storage? Those worries are now a thing of the past. With 32 GB of internal memory, the SPD-SX PRO holds about 44 hours of stereo audio in high-resolution 48 kHz / 16 bit. Plus, you don’t have to bother converting your source formats. Whether WAV files at 48/44.1 kHz, AIFF, or MP3s with various bitrates—the SPD-SX PRO converts everything to its native 48 kHz / 16 bit audio format, saving you loads of time.

LCD Color Display

No more fear of dark stages! The SPD-SX PRO features a large 4.3" color display with backlit buttons, tabs, and a jog dial for lightning-fast sound selection. The screen shows essential info in real time, including A & B sample layers, WAV sample names, sample playback progress, and more.

Roland KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal!

The Roland KT-10 trigger pedal has a compact design with a "reverse trigger" mechanism where the beater strikes the playing surface backward, offering a natural playing feel with very low noise. The KT-10 is significantly quieter than the combination of a kick pad and standard foot machine with beater.

Its small footprint makes it ideal as a second kick pedal in an acoustic/electronic drum set or in combination with an SPD-series percussion pad, a HandSonic HPD-20, or a V-Drum set.

Compared to its predecessor, the PDS-10, stability and durability have been further optimized. This includes larger rubber feet and 33 percent thicker, double-braced steel legs.
