The sticks of the Sela 2-Tone Claves have different lengths (215 and 200 millimeters), setting them apart from conventional tone wood pairs that are usually the same length.

Depending on which stick of the 2-Tone Claves you hold and strike with, you can produce two distinct fundamental tones and vary the pitch of the rhythms played.
