During the production of the Byzance Vintage models, the aging process of the cymbals is simulated to create their distinctive tonal character. The series was developed as an extension of the Sand Rides created with Meinl artist Benny Greb. It includes a wide range of cymbals that have contributed to the unique Meinl sound.
The Sand models feature a Narrow Blade lathe cut and their popular sandblasted finish, while the Vintage Pure models are unlathed and retain their raw surface.
