Have purchased this product for a Gibson Standard Historic (so Custom Shop). Before that I had an expensive microfiber cloth from Fender, with which I made a really bad scratch in the varnish on the third day. -> Now serves as a bathroom cleaning cloth.
This simple cotton cloth, on the other hand, does exactly what it's supposed to: gently clean the guitar and give it a nice shine. The polish cleans very gently. To get existing scratches out but you need the Gibson Polish Cream (which is unfortunately only available in the set with fretboard and chrome polish).
