A Bass Cajon With a Lot of Power!
This fine-cut Street Cajon from the XDrum Peruvian series has a 12 mm thick birch body and a great snare effect for highest level sounds (in addition to their impressive design). This Cajon works especially well as a bass drum replacement because of its strong low register but also works well as a solo instrument.
Size and workmanship
The Cajon consists of a 9-ply body made of birchwood with a thickness of 12 mm. The neatly glued individual parts leave a beautiful grain pattern, rounded corners and edges are also visually pleasing. With a seating surface of approx. 31 x 40 cm and a height of approximately 50 cm, the Cajon offers excellent sitting and playing comfort. Unlike a standard Cajon, the body of this bass variant is equipped with a bass reflex opening to the lower frequencies. Since this box drum does not have a normal sound hole, there is a built-in carrying handle located on the side of the drum for easy transport.
Adjustable snare effect and clap corners
On the inside of the strike plate, two half snare rugs with 20 spirals provide a distinctive snare sound for this box drum. Since the strike plate is completely screwed, the clap corners can be adjusted with a screwdriver for an incredibly nuanced sound.
This bass cajon produces a distinct bass tone with a differentiated snare sound, making it a great solo instrument. When using a foot pedal (optional) and other instruments, you can take advantage of this drum's low bass sound.
