Josef Klier H. Kobler Signature Mouthpiece for Baritone!
JK Exclusive mouthpieces are distinguished by their large sound volume, pure intonation, easy response and precisely calculated resistance in the cup throat and backbore, helping players maintain good endurance.
The personal tonal preferences and requirements of a professional musician such as Harald Kobler can only be met with the utmost technical precision. That's why Klier, based in Diespeck in the Middle Franconia region of Germany, uses computer-controlled CNC lathes to manufacture its JK mouthpieces. This production method alone, with its high positioning accuracy, achieves the necessary consistency from one mouthpiece to the next, with tolerances in the micron range (1/1000 mm).
Unique in the mouthpiece sector
The consistent rim and cup diameters within each series, combined with precise, finely graduated sizing, allow musicians to achieve their desired style without having to change their embouchure. No other mouthpiece range offers this level of precision and refinement.
Professional musician Harald Kobler's verdict
"I was looking for a mouthpiece maker that combines quality, innovation and a personal touch, and I found it at Klier. Together, we developed a Harald Kobler signature mouthpiece series for trombone, tenor horn, baritone and valve trombone / bass trumpet. All the mouthpieces have the 6-1 rim contour, which makes it much easier to switch between different instruments and mouthpieces.
As a baritone player, I was always looking for a warm, dark yet centered sound. The BA 6DB-1 H. Kobler combines the qualities I wanted in a mouthpiece, with its slightly larger cup diameter and reinforced outer shape. This is particularly evident in sustained melodies."
