Ultra-light djembe with a rich sound!
XDrum brings the sound of West Africa in a small, lightweight version. Its durable synthetic head and compact size make this goblet drum a popular, easy-to-use percussion instrument.
PVC body
The djembe shell is made from PVC using a patented process, making the entire drum significantly lighter than its wooden counterparts. But it is in no way inferior when it comes to sound: rich bass tones and crisp slaps are just as easy to produce as delicate strokes. The bottom edge is fitted with rubber to prevent scratches on the floor.
Made in Bali!
XDrum Bali-series percussion instruments are traditionally handcrafted.
Traditional tuning system
The head is held in place and tuned with cords. Tuning is done using a special knotting technique, allowing you to adjust the sound to your preferences. A carrying loop is woven into the cord system, so you can carry the djembe by hand or hang it from a strap.
The drumhead
The XDrum djembe is fitted with a synthetic head that is almost indistinguishable from goatskin in appearance and sound. The advantage of a synthetic head is that it is much less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity.
Small and lightweight - especially suitable for children!
