Classic Cantabile FD-24 Ethnic Frame Drum Tunable 24" - Return (Condition: very good)

Natural Sound, Flexibly Tunable!

The Classic Cantabile FD-24 Ethnic Frame Drum combines the traditional construction of a frame drum with a particularly practical detail: despite the natural hide, solid ash frame and classic lacing, the 24" frame drum can be comfortably tuned with the supplied Allen key. That lets you adjust the head tension—and thus the drum's tonal character—to your personal playing style and intended use. The real natural hide supports a warm, authentic sound with lively overtones and makes this hand drum a versatile instrument for meditation, sound journeys, folk, world music and percussion.

Natural Materials For Authentic Character

The FD-24 focuses on a as-natural-as-possible construction. The sturdy frame is made from solid ash and contains no plywood. The frame drum is fitted with genuine natural hide. The characteristic cross on the back is also made of leather and is traditionally fixed with a cord. The result is an original construction with an organic look and pleasant feel. The solid ash frame provides the necessary stability and at the same time forms a solid base for a resonant sound behavior. Plastic is avoided in the construction, which further emphasizes the traditional character of this ethnic frame drum.

Real Natural Hide With Individual Appearance

The genuine natural hide gives each Classic Cantabile FD-22 an individual character. As a natural product, color, pattern and texture can vary from instrument to instrument. These natural differences are part of the material's typical appearance and make each frame drum visually unique. At the same time, the natural hide contributes to a warm, lively and organic sound. Fine overtones and an authentic fundamental character make the frame drum interesting for both calm sonic textures and rhythmic accents.

Traditional Frame Drum With Convenient Tunability

The special strength of this 24" frame drum lies in the combination of classic construction and practical tuning option. Metal screws integrated into the frame allow you to adjust the head tension with the supplied Allen key. This sets this hand drum apart from many traditionally built frame drums with fixed head tension. You can adapt the head tension to your desired tonal character and preferred playing style. In this way, the Ethnic Frame Drum combines natural materials and traditional construction with a functional solution for greater tonal flexibility.

Playable By Hand Or With A Mallet

The frame drum can be played directly with hands and fingers, allowing immediate and dynamic control over attack and tone. Alternatively, you can use the supplied mallet to produce stronger and more defined impulses. The rear leather cross provides a practical grip and supports comfortable handling. With its 24" nominal size and a diameter of 62 cm, the frame drum offers a generous playing surface for a full and present sound. The 12 mm thick solid ash frame also provides stability and substance.

For Meditation, Sound Journeys And Acoustic Music

Whether meditative rhythms, sound journeys, spiritually oriented sound work, folk, world music or free percussion: the Classic Cantabile FD-22 combines an original look with a warm acoustic sound and versatile playing options. Especially for players with an interest in esoteric and spiritual approaches, the tunable frame drum offers a convincing combination of natural materials, organic sonic aesthetics and intuitive playability. At the same time, it appeals to anyone who appreciates traditional percussion instruments, hand drums and authentic natural tones.
