Die MC-Serie kann dabei in allen Belangen überzeugen. Absolut trockener, glasklarer und druckvoller Sound, hervorragende Verarbeitung, zuverlässige Schutzschaltungen, großzügiges Kühlsystem, hohe Netzteilreserven sind nur einige Prädikate, die diese Endstufe auszeichnen und sie gleichermaßen für den anspruchsvollen Musiker wie auch für den harten Tourbetrieb im professionellen Verleih zur ersten Wahl machen.
Flexible Schaltung
Die MC6-400 besitzt für alle drei Kanalpaare einen Modus-Wahlschalter, der den Betrieb im Stereo-, Parallel- oder Bridged Modus erlaubt. Damit erhält man ein sehr vielseitiges Werkzeug für zahlreiche Anwendungszwecke.
Einstellbare Grenzfrequenz
Die drei Kanalpaare verfügen über einen Wahlschalter mit den Positionen OFF, HPF und LPF. Je nach angesteuerten Lautsprechern werden somit nur die benötigten Frequnzanteile für Fullrange-Lautsprecher, Subwoofer oder Hochtöner verarbeitet. Die Crossover-Frequenz liegt bei 100 Hertz.
Alle wichtigen Schutzschaltungen sind selbstverständlich integriert:
- Die Power Softstartfunktion verhindert das Überlasten des Stromnetzes beim Einschalten der Endstufe.
- Der Ausgangs DC Schutz überprüft ständig, ob an den Lautsprecherausgängen Gleichstromanteile anliegen und schaltet die Ausgänge bei entsprechend schlechten Signalen ab. Dadurch wird eine Zerstörung der Lautsprecherspulen durch zu hohe DC-Anteile zuverlässig verhindert.
- Der integrierte Cliplimiter verhindert zuverlässig eine Übersteuerung der Endstufe. Hier wird bereits seitens der Endstufe verhindert, dass in der Schaltung Gleichstrom-Anteile entstehen.
- Die ausgeklügelte thermische Überwachung und Lüftersteuerung sorgt für einen reibungslosen Dauerbetrieb bei hohen Belastungen.
- Standardschutzschaltungen wie Kurzschlusssicherung... sind eine Selbstverständlichkeit und natürlich auch hier vorhanden.
- Alle Schutzschaltungen überprüfen ständig, ob der Fehler noch vorliegt und schalten sofort nach Beheben des Fehlers die Ausgänge wieder frei.

I have replaced my 3 old iron pigs (Solton and T-amp), which I use at home on a CX3400 for monitoring, with the mc6-400, after one of them regularly switched off after about 1 hour at a slightly higher level due to overheating...
The sound of the mc6-400 is much better than expected, even better than that of the old iron pigs, the power is more than sufficient and even after longer sessions the amp only gets a little over hand warm. Perfect! That's how I imagined it.
The fan noise doesn't bother me at all, you can only hear it when the room is quiet, but when is it ever....?! ;-)
