Set Up in Seconds

The E-208LAB consists of four components: a subwoofer, two spacer sections and a full-range line-array speaker. These four parts simply plug together, with the signal for the tweeter routed through the spacer sections. The entire setup takes less than a minute!

For One or More

The column system offers both an XLR and a 6.3 mm jack input, with input sensitivity selectable via a Mic/Line switch. This lets you run a dynamic microphone or an instrument directly, or combine multiple signals via a mixer and feed them to the E-208LAB.

Flexible Plug System

The E-208LAB can be operated without, with one, or with both spacer sections. Whether you’re on a raised stage, at floor level for seated audiences, or in front of standing listeners, the E-208LAB adapts perfectly to the venue.

Independent From Mains Power

The E-208LAB features a built-in, rechargeable lead-acid battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh. This independence from the mains is a huge advantage for street performers or outdoor parties. When the subwoofer is connected to a mains outlet, the battery automatically begins charging — no separate charger is required. Five LEDs on the rear indicate the current charge level. Depending on volume, battery life is an impressive 4 to 8 hours!

Full, Rich Sound

With an effective output of 100 Watts (200 Watts peak), the 8" subwoofer and the four full-range speakers deliver an absolutely clear and powerful audio experience, producing strong bass, excellent speech intelligibility and a balanced tonal picture. Thanks to the extremely wide dispersion angle, even listeners positioned to the side of the speaker benefit fully. Due to the vertical arrangement of the drivers, sound level drops off much less with distance than with conventional systems, resulting in very homogeneous coverage throughout the room.

The small full-range speakers can respond very quickly to incoming signals because of their low mass, which results in significantly less distortion and harmonic coloration compared to typical multi-way boxes. In the critical frequency range for many instruments — and especially for vocals and speech — there is no frequency crossover that would inevitably introduce further colorations and often irregularities in dispersion. The overall sound is therefore far more natural and pleasant than that of common multi-way speakers, which is particularly noticeable with voices and acoustic instruments.

Integrated Media Player With Bluetooth

The control panel is located on the rear of the subwoofer and includes a full media player. It doesn’t matter whether music files are stored on USB or SD — both are supported. Of course, any conventional playback device (e.g. smartphone or laptop) can also be connected via the Aux input. For wireless streaming, the E-208LAB also features a Bluetooth receiver. If you connect the system via Bluetooth to a second optional E-208LAB, you even get wireless True Wireless stereo sound.

Easily Expandable

Whether you plug a microphone directly into the PA or the signal comes from a mixing console — use the Line Out to feed additional column systems. Depending on the size of your event, this provides even more uniform sound distribution.

Skip the Monitoring

Because the E-208LAB is extremely resistant to feedback, it can be positioned behind the performers without issue. That saves you additional monitor speakers — and therefore space, time, money and weight. And it looks much cleaner, too.
