When it comes to PA, solo artists and small acoustic combos need easy transport, fast setup, impressive sound and a discreet look. McGrey's slim column system brings all of that together in a compact, sonically powerful package.

Set Up In Seconds

The E-208LA consists of four components: the subwoofer, two spacer sections and a full-range line array. These four parts simply plug into each other, with the signal for the tweeter routed through the spacer sections. The whole setup takes less than a minute!

For One Or More

The column system offers an XLR and a jack input where the input sensitivity can be set via a Mic/Line switch. That makes it possible to run a dynamic microphone and an instrument directly, or to combine multiple signals via a mixer and feed them to the E-208LA.

Flexible Plug-in System

The E-208LA can be used without, with one, or with both spacer sections. Whether you're on an elevated stage, at floor level facing seated audiences, or in front of standing crowds, the E-208LA adapts perfectly to the venue.

Rich Sound

With an effective power of 100 Watts (200 Watts peak), the subwoofer with its 8" speaker and the four full-range drivers deliver an absolutely clear and powerful sound experience, producing strong bass, excellent speech intelligibility and a balanced tonal image. Thanks to the extremely wide dispersion angle, audience members sitting to the sides of the speakers also reap the full benefit. Because the drivers are arranged vertically, volume drops off much less with distance than with conventional systems, resulting in very even sound coverage throughout the room.

Because of their low mass the small full-range drivers can react very quickly to incoming signals, which results in considerably less coloration and distortion of the original sound compared with typical multi-way boxes. Likewise, in the critical frequency range for many instruments — and especially for vocal and spoken voices — there is no frequency splitting that would inevitably cause further sonic coloration and often irregularities in dispersion. The overall sound is therefore noticeably more natural and pleasant than that of common multi-way speakers, which is particularly evident with voices and acoustic instruments.

Integrated Media Player With Bluetooth

On the back of the subwoofer you'll find the system's control panel, which includes a full media player. It doesn't matter whether your music files are on USB or SD. Of course, any conventional playback device (e.g. smartphone or laptop) can also be connected via the aux input. For wireless streaming the E-208LA also features a Bluetooth receiver. If you pair the system via Bluetooth with a second optional E-208LA, you even get wireless True Wireless stereo sound.

Easily Expandable

Whether you plug a microphone directly into the PA or the signal comes from a mixing console — use the Line Out to route your signal to additional column systems. Depending on the event size, this ensures even more uniform sound coverage.

Skip The Monitors

Because the E-208LA is extremely feedback-resistant, it can easily be placed behind performers. That saves you additional stage monitors — and thus space, time, money and weight. And it looks a lot better, too.
