The ATH-R50x drivers were developed based on the drivers of the original ATH-R70x and tuned to deliver surprisingly powerful bass for an open headphone and highly precise upper mids – for clear, punchy vocals and lead instruments, without sacrificing the balanced overall presentation.
Crucial to this natural sound with a full audio spectrum is the 100% open housing concept, which does not affect the drivers' natural direct sound. Without additional acoustic measures, the ATH-R50x enables dynamic, detailed reproduction with powerful low end and realistic imaging. Moreover, the completely open housings offer more comfort than closed models – comfort that is further supported by the newly designed headband and the lightweight, durable overall construction.
This makes the versatile ATH-R50x the perfect partner for production, mixing and mastering in stereo, surround and other immersive formats, and an accurate, reliable monitoring reference for any pro or home studio.
