The combination of a slim format and professional look makes the Pa700 a fascinating eye-catcher. Even more impressive is the mighty sound of the high-quality, powerful amplifier system. The amplifiers deliver 2 x 25 watts through two speakers in a bass-reflex enclosure for a nuanced, full listening experience. Ergonomically and intuitively arranged controls on the optimized control panel support a naturally flowing performance. The newly developed graphic interface of the large, bright TouchView display remains legible even in low light. With the versatile search function, recently used songs, styles or files and much more can be found again quickly! Styles, keyboard sets and SongBook entries can be read directly from a USB medium without having to load data into internal memory.

The Pa700 runs on KORG’s complex EDS-X (Enhanced Definition Synthesis-eXpanded) sound engine and ships with more than 1,700 playable, highly realistic sounds. This collection offers a huge selection of classic and modern keyboards, band and orchestral instruments as well as electronic and acoustic instruments — from techno to folk. Newly added are two multilayer stereo grand pianos (with damper and body resonances) and electric pianos from the popular KORG SV-1 Stage Piano. The electronic organ features digital drawbars, key on/off noises, leakage effects and a rotary speaker emulation. Additionally, the Pa700 provides new wind instruments, strings, basses and even acoustic and electric guitars. All sounds were recorded meticulously with state-of-the-art techniques so that even the finest details are preserved.

106 authentic drum kits — including ambient drums — make rhythmic passages a musical pleasure. The Drum Family Easy Editing feature gives total control over volume, pitch, EQ and more. Your own sounds find enough room in the compressed PCM user memory of up to 256 MB, and compatibility with the General MIDI (GM) sound bank for GM files has been further improved. The Pa700 can load/import KORG, WAV, AIFF and SoundFont formats and export WAV or AIFF. Its sounds are fully editable and can be used with up to 24 oscillators per note!

The Pa700 ORIENTAL version contains all functionality of the standard Pa700 and adds a mini keyboard on the left side to adjust quarter-tone scales and quickly recall scale presets. In addition to conventional musical resources, the Pa700 ORIENTAL includes sounds and styles typical of Middle Eastern music genres. Ouds, bouzuks, qanuns, various percussion instruments and many more sounds are complemented by dozens of styles tailored to traditional and modern music styles.

Each of the Pa700’s more than 370 styles creates its own musical world and reproduces a particular musical genre. The selection is huge and offers direct access to a wide range of musical genres. Each style provides 4 Fill Ins + Break patterns — one per variation. With the new Auto Fill function you can call them automatically while moving between the four variations. KORG’s international sound team created many new styles and improved many popular, well-known styles with new sounds and mixes. The Pa700 provides a total of 1,152 memory locations for new styles and settings.

The Latest Styles — Fast!

Thanks to the completely new integrated "Standard MIDI File to Style" converter, you can quickly and comfortably use styles of the latest songs! Simply obtain a new Standard MIDI File, load it into the Pa700 and convert it with the converter into a complete KORG style while simultaneously creating a chord sequence from the song’s chords.

Studio-Quality Effects

The Pa700 is equipped with the best studio-grade effects from the popular KORG library. You can apply 2 insert and 2 master effects to accompaniment/song tracks and 1 insert and 2 master effects to melody tracks. There are 148 effect types available, including reverbs, delays, emulations of vintage effects, amp and cabinet simulations and much more. Additionally, each track can be shaped with low, mid and high EQ controls and a special track EQ can be saved in Song Play mode — so the song sounds perfect in any environment. Global effects let you adapt the overall sound to personal taste or a challenging live venue.

Refine Your Guitar Sound

Just connect your guitar to the dedicated input on the rear and shape the sound with Guitar FX pedal and studio effects. Choose from some of KORG’s best guitar effects such as tube amp sounds, realistic distortion, chorus or delay as well as high-quality studio reverbs.

Player/Sequencer

The player supports not only common lyric formats but also the MP3+G (aka MP3+Graphics) format for MP3 files. Thanks to this function you can play backing sequences with enhanced lyrics and graphics and display them on both the integrated TFT display and an external monitor. There’s also a convenient marker function that lets you jump directly to a selected song position. A Vocal Remover is used to mute the center music channel and remove vocals from MP3 files.

SongBook

The SongBook is a freely programmable, easy-to-search music database that brings together all settings needed to play a song — the ideal tool for live performances. Whether you play with styles, MIDI files or MP3s, the SongBook stores all important song information such as song title, genre, artist, tempo, volumes, sound assignments, muted tracks, effect and easy edit settings, 4 keyboard tracks, TC Helicon presets, master transpose and much more. The updated set list function allows assignment to control panel buttons so you can instantly recall settings during live gigs.

Improved Connectivity

MIDI connections are now possible via the USB HOST port (in addition to the USB DEVICE and MIDI ports). This makes it simple to connect controllers such as digital pianos (e.g. HAVIAN 30) or KORG’s nano- and micro-series without special adapters.
