Die RG ist die bekannteste und unverwechselbarste Gitarre im Ibanez-Sortiment. Drei Jahrzehnte Metall haben diese Hochleistungsmaschine geschmiedet und sowohl auf Geschwindigkeit als auch auf Kraft getrimmt. Ob mit Hardtail Steg oder dem branchenführenden Locking Tremolo System, die RG ist ein Präzisionsinstrument.
Die RG470DXFM verfügt über einen Wizard III Ahorn Hals, ein Jatoba Griffbrett und eine geflammte Ahorn-Decke auf einen Meranti Korpus. Außerdem ist die Gitarre mit Quantum H-SH Tonabnehmern und einem Edge-Zero II Tremolo Steg ausgestattet.
