The Player II Stratocaster HSS embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-renowned design, yet under the hood it's thoroughly modern. Every detail is optimized for smooth playability. The neck in a Modern C profile with a silky satin urethane back finish carries a maple or rosewood slab fretboard with a 9.5" radius, gently rounded edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. You can also choose between Fender's timeless finishes and brand-new vintage colors freshly pulled from the archive.
Glassy, bell-like Player Series Alnico V Strat single-coils and a meaty, biting Player Series Alnico II bridge humbucker deliver crystalline highs, musical mids and snappy lows. The 5-way switch lets you combine pickups for practically endless tonal variety. The strings run over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge. ClassicGear tuners keep the tuning stable.
