Ibanez TCY12E-OPN Guitar in Open Pore Natural!
The Ibanez TCY12E-OPN combines the tonal characteristics of an acoustic guitar with the feel of an electric. The mahogany body with an open-pore finish delivers a warm, resonant tone, while the slim neck and double-cutaway design provide comfortable playability up into the highest registers. Thanks to the built-in Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with 2-band EQ and integrated tuner, it's also perfectly equipped for live use.
Body and Construction
The Talman body shape of the TCY12E-OPN offers a pleasant balance between size and comfort. The top, sides and back are made of mahogany, which gives the instrument a warm and full sound. The open-pore finish lets the wood breathe and supports the guitar's natural resonance.
Electronics and Tone Control
Equipped with an Ibanez under-saddle pickup and the AEQ-2T preamp, the TCY12E-OPN provides reliable sound transmission. The 2-band EQ allows precise tone shaping, while the integrated tuner ensures quick and easy tuning. Power is supplied by a 9V battery, and output is via a 1/4" jack.
Neck and Fretboard
The mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and dot inlays offers comfortable playability. With a scale length of 648 mm (25.5") and 20 frets, it's suitable for both chord playing and solos. The nut width is 42 mm, providing a comfortable playing feel.
