Subtle Playing Nuances and Lively, Balanced Sound

The grand piano, with its large body and complex structure, produces a rich and delicate resonant sound. The Celviano carefully explores this resonance using Casio's unique sound-source technology. It captures the nuances of your playing, expresses resonances based on your touch, achieves sustained overtones and delivers a lively, balanced tone. This also applies to complex timbral changes influenced by varying attack strength and time evolution. The player's subtle nuances are reproduced authentically, producing the expressive power characteristic of grand pianos.

Celviano Grand Hybrid Technology

The AP-750 features three grand piano voices valued by musicians worldwide: Berlin Grand, Hamburg Grand and Vienna Grand, including C. Bechstein. To convey the enchanting beauty of these sounds, Casio uses the "AiR Grand Sound Source", the same engine used in the flagship Celviano Grand Hybrid series.

From delicate attacks that sound like a breath to dynamic, powerful expressions that convey the player's emotions, these instruments offer a natural, beautiful and compelling grand piano experience.

Sound System Excellence

As an integral part of electronic instruments, the sound system plays a decisive role in converting the exceptional sound source, tone and playability achieved by key touch into audible brilliance. It shapes the instrument's entire expressive power. The acoustic systems of the AP-750, AP-550 and AP-S450 are designed to deliver a natural sound that captures the resonance of a grand piano and creates an intense, expressive experience.

Tradition Meets Innovation

Casio relentlessly pursues the traditional sound and feel of a grand piano and embraces the challenge of enhancing these values while combining them with unprecedented new experiences. Let's take a closer look at the various features, including the sound-source technology and acoustic technology that create the ultimate sound, the keyboard technology that faithfully reflects the performer's intent, and the new ideas that help create an unprecedented level of playing enjoyment.

Optimized Key Action

Casio thoroughly researched and independently developed the "Smart Hybrid Hammer Action Keyboard Celviano Edition" to optimize it for the AP-750. This advanced key action considers the characteristics of a grand piano's keys and significantly influences the playing feel. It combines physical mechanisms that use hammer weight, similar to grand pianos, with advanced digital technology that controls the touch response and tonal reaction for each key. This innovation enables expressive performances that respond faithfully to the pianist's emotions and adapt like a grand piano to different playing ranges and techniques.

Matte Texture and Ebony Inspiration

Furthermore, the stability of the key action has been improved to meet the fine nuances of advanced classical pieces. The white keys have a hybrid structure of spruce wood and resin, complemented by a natural, ivory-like surface texture. The black keys feature a matte texture that reproduces the fine grain of ebony and provides a pleasant, natural playing feel both in texture and appearance.

Pedals

Discover a new dimension of expression with the carefully crafted pedals of the AP-750. These pedals are designed to capture the authentic feel and nuances of a grand piano. The damper pedal not only sustains the sound but also reproduces changes in resonance and adjusts its effect smoothly depending on how deeply the pedal is pressed, enabling sensitive expression in your performance. The soft pedal not only controls volume but also provides a more natural change in tonal color, expanding expressive possibilities in quieter passages.
