At some point you reach a stage where you no longer want to make musical compromises. That's when it's time for the American Ultra II Series. The American Ultra II guitars and basses use only premium materials, ultra-precise craftsmanship and advanced design. These are true state-of-the-art instruments that will accompany you for a lifetime.

The Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass features an alder body with smooth, comfortable contours. The quartersawn maple neck (straight grain) feels wonderfully slick and supple with its "Modern D" profile, Ultra Satin finish and ultra-smooth rolled edges. The 10"-14" compound radius fingerboard is available in ebony or quartersawn maple and is fitted with medium jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. A shallow neck heel and a contoured back allow unprecedented playability with easy access to the highest registers. If you want to adjust the string action, you can easily do so via the adjustment screw in the headstock.

Two specially voiced Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups give this low-ender a massive, lively low end with tonal colors ranging from vintage-warm to modern-growling — and completely hum-free. The newly designed preamp lets you shape the sound down to the finest nuances. Musician-friendly features typical for the series include an S-1 switch for Active/Passive mode, a passive tone control and an active 3-band EQ with switchable mids. Other tour-ready features: an adjustable HiMass top-load/string-through-body bridge, lightweight Fender tuners with tapered shafts, knurled aluminum control knobs and a single-ply anodized aluminum pickguard.

Modern elements refine the iconic offset style of the American Ultra II Jazz Bass. A symbiosis that will inspire you to new creative heights. The American Ultra II Jazz Bass is built for players who demand the best tone, versatile sound and maximum freedom in their performance.
