Legendary tweed tone in a modern form!
The Fender Tone Master '59 Twin JB Edition combines the distinctive sound of a classic high-powered Tweed Twin with the flexibility of modern Tone Master technology. Developed in collaboration with blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, this signature guitar amplifier is based sonically on the legendary Fender 5F8-A circuit and delivers powerful clean sounds, creamy overdrive and the immediate response that vintage tweed amps are known for. With 85 watts of power, two specially designed 12" Celestion JB85 NEO Signature speakers, six selectable power levels, reverb, an effects loop and a balanced XLR line output, this modeling combo is equally suited to the stage, studio, rehearsal room and home use.
Joe Bonamassa signature sound
Joe Bonamassa has relied on Fender High Powered Tweed Twin amps from the late 1950s for many years. In the Tone Master '59 Twin JB Edition, Fender's Tone Master modeling process digitally recreates this distinctive amplifier sound. The result combines the sonic DNA of the historic original with a much more practical control layout. Two channels—Normal and Bright—and four 6.3-mm jack inputs in total, with two Normal and two Bright inputs, provide the classic signal routing of the original.
85 watts with practical power adjustment
The historic high-powered design is known for its tremendous dynamics and volume. On this signature model, you can use the rear attenuation selector to adjust the output power for different situations. In addition to full output power, five additional attenuation levels are available. This lets you enjoy the characteristic tweed sound at a controlled volume for smaller gigs, in the studio or at home.
Two specially designed Celestion speakers
Two 12" Celestion JB85 NEO Signature speakers, specially developed for this amplifier, handle the sound reproduction. Their neodymium construction helps keep the overall design relatively lightweight, while the resonant solid pine cabinet enhances the combo's classic character. Total impedance is 4 ohms, and amplifier power is 85 watts.
Modern features for stage and studio
The built-in reverb adds a high-quality spatial effect to the traditional tweed design and is controlled directly from the top-mounted control panel. An effects loop with 6.3-mm jack Send and Return connections is provided for delay, modulation and other time-based effects. The rear-panel Vintage/Tight switch changes the bass response, allowing you to achieve a more focused, controlled low end when needed.
Direct recording output with impulse responses
The balanced XLR line output features a ground lift and level control, and offers three speaker IR simulations for direct connection to a mixer, audio interface or recording system. The speaker IRs are compatible with the Tone Master IR Manager app. Recovery and firmware updates can be performed via USB-C. The Fender Tone Master '59 Twin JB Edition combines an authentic vintage amp feel with modern options for live and studio setups.
Classic Fender look with thoughtful details
Tweed finish, Bassman-style grille cloth, black chicken-head knobs and the dog-bone handle give this combo an authentic Fender vintage look. The jewel indicator shows the current operating status, using different colors to indicate Power, Warmup or Mute. A cover and two-button footswitch are included.
