The Dynavox X7000 is the successor to the successful X6000. It is a HiFi mains filter that should not be missing from any high-end system. It filters unwanted interference from the mains and thus improves the listening experience by that small but ultimately essential refinement.
Unlike the previous model, the X7000 additionally features a display to show mains voltage or power consumption. The display can also be turned off. In addition, the X7000 remembers the last setting (displaying voltage, power, or display off) and uses the same setting again after being switched on.
Filtered (gefilterte Dosen) / Direct (ungefilterte Dosen)
Digital end devices (CD/DVD/BR players, streamers, receivers, etc.) should be connected to the filtered outlets (Filtered) first, since these devices are the most sensitive to mains interference. If filtered outlets remain free, there's nothing to stop you connecting analog devices (amplifiers, pre/power amps) there as well. Otherwise connect those to the unfiltered outlets. In general, it's advisable to try different connection variants to unlock the full potential of your setup.
Phase Orientation
The mains filter exclusively detects the correct phase orientation of the mains connection, i.e. the supply. For phase-correct connection of devices to the mains filter, the outlets are marked there with L (live) and N (neutral). Which contact is live on the respective device can be found in the technical documentation of that device or by consulting your specialist dealer.
