Need a 4-channel multicore at any length—quickly? No problem! Pronomic's NetCore system transmits both analog and digital signals through a slim network cable.
Ingenious Technology
A Cat cable contains four twisted pairs – so four balanced audio signals can be carried in a single slim cable. The cable's shielding acts as the signal ground, so operation is only possible with shielded network cables. Because the NetCore system works with conventional network cables, it's also possible to use an existing building network to route signals from one room to another, for example. The prerequisite is direct wiring of the outlets – there must be no switch or similar device in between.
The Parallel Rackbox
The special feature of this box is its flexibility: the four pairs are wired in parallel, allowing a signal to be routed in either direction (for example, 3 microphones and 1 monitor signal).
Fully Combinable
The NetCore system includes several stage boxes, rack units and snakes, each component can be connected to any other. It doesn't get more flexible than that.
Applications
The uses for a NetCore run are very diverse, for example:
