The WA-C1 Chorus Vibrato is an authentic reproduction of the most famous purely analog chorus in the history of guitar pedals, with additional uncompromising features to explore legendary modulated sounds. The WA-C1 features a premium, fully analog preamp that’s highly popular among guitarists demanding top responsiveness.
The lush chorus setting offers separate depth and rate controls to push beyond vintage gear limits while delivering an authentic sound. The vibrato section remains true to the original, and an additional Hi-Z switch on the pedal’s rear compensates for the higher impedance of guitars compared to keyboards, allowing guitar highs to be clearer when desired.
Original Chorus Stompbox
The WA-C1 is a faithful replica of the most famous analog chorus and vibrato pedal, known for its pure analog tones and rich modulation. It combines an authentic circuit design with separate depth and rate knobs on the chorus side and an added Hi-Z option for an uncompromising 100% analog chorus experience. The WA-C1 has a single input with mono and stereo outputs.
Pure Analog Preamp
The WA-C1 features a 100% analog preamp modeled after the famous original, with a level control that adds bite, depth, and even natural compression to guitar tones. The entire pedal circuit is internally supported by a charge-pump voltage regulator, delivering robust performance even when powered by an external 9-volt supply. The preamp tone also adds color and character in bypass mode.
Deep, Rich Chorus:
The WA-C1 delivers lush midrange depth and the detail you expect from true Bucket Brigade Device analog chorus pedals. It uses a modern MN3007 BBD chip, manufactured by Xvive with other premium components and boutique quality, carefully clocked to match the depth and speed of the original pedal and reproduce the detail sought after in the most coveted vintage units.
Rich, Three-Dimensional Vibrato:
When it’s time to really wobble, engage the vibrato setting on the Warm Chorus Vibrato for extra speed and swing in your tone. Experimenting with the vibrato side yields rotary-like modulation tones perfect for funk, fusion, blues, jazz, and more. The WA-C1 features a blinking LED on the front to indicate which setting is active and the modulation speed.
Separate Depth and Rate Controls for Chorus
The WA-C1 offers separate depth and rate controls instead of the old “intensity” knobs. With the WA-C1, you can go beyond vintage pedal limits by setting deeper depth and slower rates for even richer chorus tones.
Selectable Impedance
The WA-C1 has a selectable impedance switch on the rear to choose between the classic 50k ohm input impedance and a 1.1M Hi-Z setting, better suited for passive stringed instruments to highlight clarity. This switch works in bypass mode to maintain clarity when bypassed.
