The Metronome That Can Sync With Others - Ideal for Groups, Marching Bands, Etc.
The GM-1 allows synchronization of multiple GM-1 devices via infrared communication. To ensure that two GM-1 units use the same* timing, simply establish a sync connection and select the same tempo settings on both. In many devices, synchronization occurs serially: the master controls the slaves, which in turn synchronize subsequent devices, and so on. This ensures that all simultaneously used metronomes run in perfect step.
With a conventional metronome, you achieve something comparable only if all participants hear the emitted metronome signal. The GM-1, however, allows spatial separation of performers: as long as the sync and tempo settings are correct, participants can be positioned relatively far apart.

The GM-1 is inserted into the ear canal and is therefore especially suitable for brass bands, dance groups, etc., whose members need to move. Earbuds in sizes S, M, and L are included and provide good external noise reduction. The ear canal part is swivel-mounted to ensure a comfortable fit in the left or right ear. The GM-1 clip locks the unit behind the earlobe, providing a secure hold. This way, you don’t have to pay attention to the metronome during rehearsal.
In-Ear Design for Insertion Into the Ear Canal and Clear Signal Detection
The GM-1 uses an "airtight" earplug inserted into the ear canal. This way, the metronome signal is heard clearly and distinctly. However, it does not leak outside, which is especially important in quiet passages. The pitch of the metronome signal is adjustable in 3 steps. Depending on the instrument and environment, a different frequency may be more favorable.
Numerous Time Signatures and Rhythms – Even Asymmetrical Meters Are Possible
The tempo can be set between 30 and 252 beats per minute, the meter between 0 and 9 beats per bar, and rhythms include quarter notes, duplets, triplets, triplets with a skipped note, quadruplets, and quadruplets with skipped notes. Additionally, programmable variations are available, which is practical for more advanced applications.
Intuitive Tempo Setting With the Jog Switch
On the side of the GM-1 housing is a jog switch that lets you change settings without removing the device from your ear. With this jog switch, you can access tempo, time signature, rhythms, and volume settings. This approach maximizes intuitive operation. The LCD on the inside of the housing displays the tempo and other information.
Low Power Consumption for Up to 100 Hours of Battery Life
Despite its ultra-compact housing, the GM-1 offers about 100 hours of continuous operation with just one lithium coin battery. You can replace the battery by simply opening the cover on the back of the housing.
